Currently, Village Potential Data Collection (Podes) activities are underway in the Tulang Bawang Barat Regency area. This activity will be carried out on 2 - 31 May 2024. Podes is the only complete regional data collection carried out by BPS. Data from Podes data collection is able to describe the potential possessed by an area at the village, sub-district and district/city levels throughout Indonesia. Podes are used for census preparations (one of which is the 2026 Economic Census) and are used by many parties in the context of development planning.
The scope of the 2024 Podes Data Collection includes all village-level administrative areas (Podes-Desa), all sub-district administrative areas (Podes-Kecamatan), and all district/city administrative areas (Podes-Kabupaten).
Podes 2024 resource persons consist of 3 levels, namely:
1. Village/Subdistrict Level: Village/subdistrict officials, searching village documents, and other related and relevant sources.
2. Sub-district level: Sub-district officials, Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) Services in the Sub-District, Sector Police, Koramil, Community Health Center, PLN, etc.
3. Regency level: Regional Secretary, related OPDs, such as: Mining and Energy Service, Industry Service, Transportation Service, Manpower Service, Police, Social Service, etc.
The output resulting from the 2024 Podes Data Collection activities includes:
1. Data on village potential in the social, economic and infrastructure sectors
2. Materials for compiling a master frame for the purposes of the 2026 Economic Census
3. Indicators that make up the Urban-Rural classification, for example the presence/access to TK/RA/BA, SMP/MTS, SMA, Permanent and Semi-Permanent Markets, etc.
4. Village Development Indicators mandated by Village Law Number 6 of 2014
5. Evaluation of the use of village funds referring to Permendesa PDTT Number 5 of 2015, Number 21 of 2015, Number 22 of 2016, and Number 19 of 2017 concerning Determining Priorities for the Use of Village Funds
6. Geographic Difficulty Index (IKG), Village Index (ID)
7. List of villages according to frontier and outermost status
