Abstract

The export value of Lampung Province in November 2008 reached US$ 187.36 million or decreased by US$ 0.65 million (0.34 percent) compared to exports in October 2008, while compared to November 2007 it increased by US$ 40.74 million (27, 78 percent) of US$ 146.63 million. Cumulatively, the export value of Lampung Province from January to November 2008 reached US$ 2.53 billion or an increase of 78.14 percent compared to the same period in 2007.
The largest decline in exports in November 2008 occurred in vegetable oils amounting to US$ 14.80 million, coffee amounting to US$ 8.28 million and pulp/pulp amounting to US$ 1.29 million. Meanwhile, the increase in exports occurred in fish and shrimp, processed meat and fish, and processed fruit, amounting to US$ 6.14 million, US$ 3.91 million and US$ 2.28 million respectively.
In the period January - November 2008, the export value of coffee, vegetable oil, pulp and fish and shrimp made a relatively large contribution, respectively 27.35 percent, 23.54 percent, 8.98 percent and 8 .59 percent of Lampung Province's total exports. The role of these four groups reached 68.46 percent of the total export value in the same period.
During the period January - November 2008, the United States was the largest export destination country with a value of US$ 363.81 million (14.41 percent), followed by Germany with a value of US$ 314.68 million (12.46 percent), Japan with a value of US$ $ 278.55 million (11.03 percent) and the Netherlands with a value of US $ 256.55 million (10.16 percent). The role of exports to the ten main destination countries in the same period reached 67.97 percent
