Abstract

The Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) for Star Hotels in Bandar Lampung in November 2008 reached 54.06 percent, an increase of 2.49 percent compared to October 2008 which was recorded at 51.57 percent. Meanwhile, compared to November 2007, it fell by 2.14 percent.

The number of guests staying at star-rated hotels in November 2008 was 5,947 people, consisting of 201 foreign guests and 5,746 domestic guests, down 0.18 percent compared to the previous month. Meanwhile, compared to November 2007, it fell by 18.41 percent. One of the reasons for the decrease in the number of guests staying overnight was the Eid al-Fitr holiday which fell in October 2008 so that the number of guests staying overnight in November was lower compared to October 2008. Likewise when compared with November 2007, where the 2007 holiday fell in November.

The average length of stay of guests at star-rated hotels in November 2008 was 1.54 days, or 0.20 days lower compared to October 2008, and compared to November 2007, 0.20 days lower.
