Abstract

Production Growth in Large and Medium Manufacturing Industries (q-to-q) in Lampung Province in the first quarter of 2011 experienced a significant decline in growth of 9.58 percent from the fourth quarter of 2010. This indicates a decrease in market absorption of industrial products in the first quarter of 2011 compared to the fourth quarter of 2010.

The decline in Industrial Production Growth in the first quarter of 2011 occurred in the Food and Beverage Industry sub-sector and the Wood Industry Sub-sector and Wooden Goods (excluding furniture), and Woven Goods, which respectively fell by 9.97 percent and 8.17 percent from the fourth quarter of 2010.

Production growth in the Rubber Industry Sub-sector and Rubber Goods and Plastic Goods in the first quarter of 2011 showed a fairly high increase of 11.89 percent compared to the fourth quarter of 2010.
