During July 2013, the Grain Producer Price Survey recorded 24 observations in 4 selected districts. All observations were of the quality grain group of Harvested Dry Grain (GKP), there was no low quality grain and no quality grain group of Milled Dry Grain (GKG).
The highest price for grain at the farmer level reached Rp. 4,260.00 per kg for GKP quality grain with the Ciherang variety found in Ambarawa District, Pringsewu Regency. Still with the same grain quality, the lowest grain price reached Rp. 3,500.00 per kg, namely the IR 64 variety found in Penengahan District, South Lampung Regency. This price is still above the Government Purchase Price (HPP), which is Rp. 3,300.00 per kg.
At the milling level, the highest price of grain is IDR. 4,325.00 per kg, namely the Ciherang variety found in Punggur District, Central Lampung Regency. Meanwhile, the lowest grain price is Rp. 3,600.00 per kg with the IR 64 variety found in Penengahan District, South Lampung Regency. This price is still above COGS, namely Rp. 3,350.00 per kg.
The price of grain at the farmer and mill level rose in July. Entering the month of Ramadan, the price of grain has increased due to quite high demand in the market. . Apart from that, the quality of the grain produced is also better than the previous month. The average increase in the price of the GKP quality group at the farmer level was 5.29 percent from Rp. 3,829.17 per kg to Rp. 4,031.58 per kg, and at the milling level it increased by 5.13 percent from Rp. 3,921.25 per kg to Rp. 4,122.29 per kg.
