Abstract
February 2017, Lampung Composite CPI index increased from 129.36 in January 2017 to 130.06 in February 2017, thus an inflation of 0.54 percent.
Based on the calculation of the rate of inflation (point to point) in February 2017 was 1.36 percent, and inflation year on year (yoy) in February 2017 was 4.23 percent.
Of the seven expenditure groups, five groups experienced inflation, namely foodstuffs rose 0.10 percent; food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco rose 0.68 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel rose 1.09 percent; health group up 0.01 percent; and transportation, communication and financial services rose 0.78 percent. Instead a group of deflation, namely clothing were down 0.10 percent, while the education, recreation and sport does not change the index.
Monitoring of two cities in Lampung in February 2017, wholly experienced inflation. Bandar Lampung inflation by 0.58 percent and 0.28 percent inflation Metro.
Inflation in Bandar Lampung is ranked 16th and Metro City ranked 43rd, from 82 cities observed price changes. Of the 82 cities, 62 cities CPI inflation and 20 cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation was in Manado by 1.16 percent, while the lowest inflation was recorded at 0.03 percent Ternate. In contrast, the highest deflation experienced Jambi at 1.40 percent, and the lowest was in Bungo 0.02 percent.
Housing, water, electricity, gas, and fuel contributed the highest inflation, which amounted to 0.28 percent. The subgroup being the largest contributor to inflation is a subgroup of the fuel, lighting, and water by 0.19 percent
