Abstract

The total export value of Lampung Province in October 2018 reached US $ 319.53 million, a decrease of US $ 9.92 million or down 3.01 percent compared to September 2018 which was US $ 329.45 million. This export value in October 2018 when compared to October 2017 which was recorded at US $ 392.86, decreased by US $ 73.34 million, down 18.67 percent.

The five main export categories of Lampung Province in October 2018 were animal / vegetable fats and oils; coffee, tea and spices; coal; pulp / leftovers from the food industry; and various chemical products.

The decline in exports in October 2018 to September 2018 occurred in two main categories of goods, namely animal / vegetable fats & oils, down 13.39 percent and coffee, tea, spices down 4.02 percent. The main categories of goods that experienced an increase were coal, which rose 21.63 percent; pulp / residue of the food industry rose to 97.78 percent; and various chemical products rose 73.68 percent.

The main export destinations for Lampung Province in October 2018 were to the Netherlands which reached US $ 43.72 million, the United States US $ 43.38 million, India US $ 42.74, Italy US $ 29.75 million, and China US $ 29.01 million. The role of the fifth reached 59.02 percent.

The import value of Lampung Province in October 2018 reached US $ 257.85 million or increased by US $ 19.30 million or an increase of 8.09 percent compared to September 2018 which was US $ 238.55 million. The import value for October 2018 is still higher at US $ 72.03 million or up 38.77 percent compared to October 2017 which was US $ 185.82 million.

Of the five main categories of imported goods in October 2018, three of them experienced an increase, namely live animals rose by 51.63 percent; mechanical machines / aircraft rose to 235.46 percent; and wheat increased by 80.95 percent. The main categories of imported goods that decreased were sugar and confectionery which fell by 8.65 percent and the waste / residue of the food industry which fell by 6.57 percent.

The contribution of the five main categories of goods to the total imports of Lampung Province in October 2018 reached 35.58 percent, with details: sugar and confectionery 11.94 percent; food industry residue / waste 7.58 percent; live animals 7.49 percent; mechanical machines / aircraft 6.50 percent; and wheat 2.07 percent.
