February 2022 Lampung experienced deflation of 0.38 percent

Abstract

In February 2022, the Lampung CPI index decreased from 109.13 in January 2022 to 108.71 in February 2022. Thus, there was a deflation of 0.38 percent.

Based on the calculation of calendar year inflation, February 2022 experienced inflation of 0.02 percent, then year-to-year inflation in February 2022 against February 2021 was 1.29 percent.

Of the eleven expenditure groups, four expenditure groups experienced deflation, namely the food, beverage and tobacco group of 1.34 percent; information, communication and financial services group 0.16 percent; transportation group; and housing, water, electricity, household fuel groups with 0.05 percent each. On the other hand, the other four groups that experienced an increase in the index (inflation) were the personal care and other services group by 0.52 percent; household equipment, equipment and routine maintenance group 0.16 percent; health group 0.11 percent; and the recreation, sports and culture group 0.04 percent. Meanwhile, the other three groups are clothing and footwear; food and beverage/restaurant supply group; and the education group did not experience a change in the index.

February 2025 Year on Year (y-on-y) inflation in Lampung Province experienced deflation of 0.02 percent. The deepest deflation occurred in East Lampung Regency at 0.38 percent.
