Abstract

  • In November 2023, the combined year-on-year (yoy) inflation between the two cities in Lampung was 4.10 percent, with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 118.64. Yoy inflation in Bandar Lampung City was 4.14 percent, with a CPI of 118.64 and YoY inflation in Metro City was 3.73 percent with a CPI of 118.64.
  • Inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by the increase in most indexes (inflation) of expenditure groups, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 11.49 percent; clothing and footwear group 1.45 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas and household fuel group 0.66 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group 2.17 percent; health group 1.42 percent; recreation, sports and culture group 1.42 percent; education group 3.68 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group 1.07 percent; and the personal care and other services group 1.89 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure groups that experienced a decline in the index (deflation) were: the transportation group at 0.14 percent and the information, communication and financial services group at 0.35 percent.
  • The main commodities contributing to inflation yoy in November 2023 include rice, red chilies, filter clove cigarettes, cayenne peppers, purebred chicken meat, garlic and white cigarettes.
  • The month to month (mtm) inflation rate for November 2023 was recorded at 1.02 percent and the year to date (ytd) inflation rate for November 2023 was 3.45 percent.
