Import value of Lampung Province in May 2024 decreased 37.14 percent compared to April 2024

The export value of Lampung Province in May 2024 reached US$323.25 million, a decrease of US$8.52 million or 2.57 percent compared to April 2024 which reached US$331.77 million. The export value in May 2024 increased of US$35.16 milion or 12.20 percent compared to May 2023, which recorded US$288.09 milion.

The main export destination countries in May 2024 were the United States with US$58.99 million; India US$47.83 million; China US$43.52 million; Bangladesh US$18.54 million; Malaysia US$14.33 million; Vietnam US$13.37 million; Pakistan US$12.48 million; Italy US$11.86 million; Netherlands US$10.68 million; and Japan US$8.56 million.

In May 2024, the import value of Lampung Province reached US$ 149.74 million, experiencing a decrease of US$ 88.48 million or 37.14 percent compared to April 2024, which recorded US$ 238.22 million. The import value in May 2024 also decreased by US$ 28.03 million or 15.77 percent compared to May 2023, which recorded US$ 177.77 million.

The top supplier countries of imports to Lampung Province in May 2024 were Australia with US$ 55.5 million, Thailand with US$ 31.36 million, the United States with US$ 31.14 million, Brazil with US$ 9.84 million, China with US$ 9.43 million, Singapore with US$ 3.6 million, Belarus with US$ 2.16 million, India with US$ 1.62 million, Turkey with US$ 0.69 million, and Malaysia with US$ 0.66 million.

In May 2024, compared to April 2024, consumer goods imports increased by 36.42 percent and capital goods imports increased by 29.46 percent, while raw materials/intermediate goods decreased by 44.08 percent.
