Abstract

The percentage of poor population in September 2024 was 10.62 percent, a slight decrease of 0.07 percentage points compared to March 2024 and a decrease of 0.49 percentage points compared to March 2023. The number of poor people in September 2024 was 939.30 thousand, a decrease of 1.9 thousand people compared to March 2024 and a decrease of 31.37 thousand people compared to March 2023. The percentage of poor people in urban areas in September 2024 was 7.91 percent, a decrease of 0.27 percentage points compared to March 2024. Meanwhile, the percentage of poor people in rural areas in September 2024 was 12.04 percent, an increase compared to March 2024, which was 0.07 percentage points.
