Sakernas Officer Training February 2023

The National Labor Force Survey (Sakernas) is one of the routine activities of the Central Statistics Agency which is carried out twice a year, namely in February and August. Sakernas activities aim to produce data in the field of employment, such as the open unemployment rate, labor force participation rate, number of working population based on business field, and so on.

Considering the importance of employment data, thorough preparation is needed, including training Sakernas officers to be prepared when collecting data. BPS West Tulang Bawang Regency held the February 2023 Sakernas Officer Training on 24 – 25 January 2023 face to face at Jasa Prima Homestay, Tulang Bawang Tengah. The officer training was opened directly by the Head of BPS West Tulang Bawang Regency, namely Mrs. Sartika Yuliani Siregar, S.ST, M.Stat. The training was attended by 7 officers consisting of 6 Field Enumerators (PCL) and 1 Field Supervisor Officer (PML). The Sakernas Regional Instructor (Inda) for February 2023 is Mrs. Khalida Hanum, S.Si.

The training begins with officers working on pre-test questions to determine the officers' initial abilities regarding national sakernas activities. After the pre-test was completed, Inda presented material related to the procedures and procedures for implementing Sakernas activities as well as the definition concepts used. Apart from delivering the material, the February 2023 Sakernas training also held role playing where officers could practice interviews with respondents directly. It is hoped that the 2 days of training for Sakernas officers will increase the knowledge and readiness of the officers so that Sakernas activities in February 2023 can take place well.
