The total export value of Lampung Province in November 2010 reached US$ 272.96 million or an increase of US$ 76.64 million (39.04%) compared to exports in October 2010. When compared with November 2009, it was also greater at US$ 71.80 million (35, 70%) of US$201.16 million. Cumulatively, the export value of Lampung Province from January to November 2010 reached US$ 2.21 billion or an increase of 8.55% compared to the same period in 2009.
Seven main categories of goods experienced an increase in export value in November 2010. The highest increase in exports occurred in the category of animal/vegetable fats & oils, increasing by US$46.46 million; pulp/pulp increased by US$13.10 million; and coffee, tea, spices increased by US$12.81 million. Meanwhile, three other main categories of goods experienced a decline in export value, the lowest being cocoa/chocolate which fell by US$17.44 million.
The import value of Lampung Province in November 2010 reached US$264.35 million or an increase of US$185.16 million (233.83%) compared to October 2010 which was recorded at only US$79.19 million. The import value for the January-November 2010 period reached US$1.65 billion or an increase of US$539.77 million (48.40%) compared to the same period in 2009.
The largest increase in imports occurred in the grain goods category, which rose by US$ 20.33 million and live animals, which rose by US$ 19.45 million. Of the 10 main categories of imported goods, all of them experienced an increase in import value.
