The total export value of Lampung Province in March 2013 reached US$225.9 million or decreased by US$79.6 million (26.06%) compared to exports in February 2013 which were recorded at US$305.5 million. Exports in March 2013, when compared with March 2012, decreased by US$48.1 million (17.54%) from US$273.9 million.
The five main categories of goods as of March 2013 are animal/vegetable fats & oils; coffee, tea, spices; wood pulp/pulp; fish and shrimp; and rubber and rubber goods. The decline in exports occurred in 4 main categories of goods, while 1 main category of goods that increased was wood pulp/pulp. Animal/vegetable fats & oils experienced a decline in exports reaching 57.12% or US$76.3 million, rubber and rubber goods fell 27.19% (US$4.5 million), coffee, tea, spices 19.21% (US$10.7 million) and fish and shrimp fell 4.87% (US$0.6 million).
The largest contribution to export value for the period January - March 2013 occurred in animal/vegetable fats and oils; coffee, tea, and spices; rubber and rubber goods; wood pulp/pulp and fish and shrimp, each contributing 41.96%; 16.97%; 4.46%; 4.45% and 4.37% of total exports January - March 2013 Lampung Province. The role of these five groups reached 72.22% of total exports in the same period.
The main export destination country in March 2013 was Japan which reached US$32.6 million, followed by Italy, Singapore and the United States at US$23.7 million, US$20.3 million and US$19.9 million respectively. The role of the four reached 42.75% of total exports in that period
