Abstract

February 2020, Bandar Lampung City experienced inflation of 0.44 percent due to an increase in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) from 105.25 in January 2020 to 105.71 in February 2020. Of the eleven expenditure groups in Bandar Lampung City, eight groups experienced inflation (increase in index), namely the clothing and footwear group of 1.18 percent; food, beverage and tobacco group 0.98 percent; food and beverage / restaurant supply group 0.94 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels group 0.61 percent; transportation group 0.46 percent; recreation, sports, and culture group 0.44 percent; health group 0.36 percent; the household appliances, equipment and routine maintenance group of 0.18 percent. Meanwhile, the information, communication and financial services group; education group; and the personal care and other services groups did not experience changes in the index.

The dominant commodities that contributed to the formation of inflation in February 2020 included: garlic by 0.18 percent; rice 0.07 percent; household fuel 0.05 percent; non-foreman artisan 0.05 percent; recreation 0.04 percent; cooking oil 0.03 percent; swimming pool 0.02 percent; mackerel 0.02 percent; cayenne pepper 0.02 percent; and tomatoes 0.02 percent.
