Abstract

In April 2024, year on year (y-on-y) inflation in Lampung Province was 3.29 percent, with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 107.34. The highest inflation occurred in Lampung Timur Regency at 5.12 percent. with a CPI of 109.72 and the lowest was Bandar Lampung Municipality at 2.39 percent with a CPI of 106.04.

Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by the increase in most indexes (inflation) of expenditure groups, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group which experienced inflation of 8.07 percent; clothing and footwear group 3.48 percent; housing, water, electricity, household fuel group 0.76 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group 0.19 percent; health group 0.71 percent; transportation group 0.44 percent; education group 2.72 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group 0.78 percent; and the personal care and other services group 1.44 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure groups that experienced a decline in the index were: the information, communication and financial services group by 0.42 percent and the recreation, sports and culture group by 0.18 percent.

The month-to-month (m-to-m) inflation rate for April 2024 recorded deflation of 0.01 percent and inflation rate year to date (y-to-d) April 2024 experienced inflation of 0.55 percent.

March 2024, Year on Year (y-on-y) Inflation in Lampung Province will be 3.45 percent. The Highest Inflation Occurred in East Lampung Regency at 4.83 percent
