Of the 32 provinces, 22 provinces experienced an increase in NTP and 10 provinces experienced a decrease in NTP. The highest increase in NTP occurred in Bangka Belitung Province, namely 0.69 percent, this was because the price paid by farmers increased by 0.33 percent, while the price received by farmers increased by 1.02 percent. Meanwhile, the largest decline in NTP occurred in Central Kalimantan Province, which fell by 0.47 percent, due to an increase in prices paid by farmers of 0.43 percent while the prices received by farmers fell by 0.05 percent.
September 2011 saw inflation in rural areas in Lampung Province amounting to 0.37 percent. Inflation in rural areas was mainly caused by an increase in the price index in the foodstuffs group, and was supported by an increase in indices in other groups except the transportation and communications group.
